This tour begins early in the morning on Baltra Island. Breakfast is served on board.

From there, you’ll set sail for the small volcanic island of Bartolomé. Your island hike will take you to Pinnacle Rock, which is the most notable feature of the island’s landscape. It is an eruption frozen in time — when the magma shot out of the volcano, the cold sea water solidified the Pinnacle Rock formation.

Your hike will last about an hour. On the way, you’ll keep an eye out for lava lizards and lava cacti. At the summit of the hike, visitors get an expansive view of Pinnacle Rock.

Next stop, Bartolomé Island’s coral beach. Take a dip in the water and go snorkeling, for the chance to see sea turtles, sea lions, tropical fish and Humboldt penguins. You'll have lunch on the return trip to Baltra Island.

Traveler Comments

Amazing!

- MEGAN T, FEB 2020

Our guide Jaime was great. He had good information, and it was easy to communicate with him. Snorkeling on James island was our first snorkeling experience in Galapagos Islands and we would have probably not done it without his help. We had one the clearest waters for snorkeling on this tour and loved it very much. The views from the lookout on the Bartolome Island are spectacular.

- YASHODHAN S, FEB 2020

Nice day trip, very good guide with a knowledge of the flora and fauna. Good food on board: both breakfast and lunch.
